LOMITA RAILROAD MUSEUM

Railroad-lomita-depot

June has finally arrived and summer is just around the corner! That being said, I have already begun to plan different activities to keep the kids and I entertained during those long summer days. While we’ll be frequenting the beach and park quite often, I have tried to think of other activities that are both educational and fun. So as a sort of “test run” of said activities, I recently took the girls to visit the Lomita Railroad Museum. While I was super enthusiastic about our impending visit, Hayden (my oldest) didn’t seem to be thrilled with the idea. Lucky for me, her tune changed once we arrived. FAMILY NIGHT AT DODGER STADIUM

Dodger-family

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, then you already know that this past Thursday we attended our first Dodger game of the season. It was also a memorable night because it was Holland’s very first game ever! Kind of a big deal for us since it’s become a little family tradition.  Continue reading “FAMILY NIGHT AT DODGER STADIUM”

MOMMY MUST HAVES: BEACH ESSENTIALS

MOMMY MUST HAVES-

So last time on my “Mommy Must Haves” series I shared my top swimsuits for this upcoming summer (if you missed it you can find it here). Well, this time I am going to continue our summer accessories discussion by covering beach essentials. If you live in Southern California then you know that summer and beach days go together like lemons and lemonade. You really can’t have one without the other. But I understand that as a mother with two little ones, having a beach day isn’t as easy as throwing on your bikini and grabbing your towel. Nowadays this fun little activity involves some planning and even packing. So with summer quickly approaching, I figured why not share my top beach essentials and make your planning that much less of a headache. So whether your plans involve hitting the beach or just taking a trip to the nearest lake or river, these are some products you are not going to want to leave home without.

Let’s get started! Continue reading “MOMMY MUST HAVES: BEACH ESSENTIALS”

THE MORRELL HOUSE

Redondo-Beach-Morrell.jpg

We currently are experiencing some absolutely gorgeous weather over here in LA and I am loving every minute of it! Of course, with all this warm weather I can’t help but want to be outside. So the other day Holland and I decided to step out and enjoy all the sunshine by taking a little trip to see the Morrell House in Redondo Beach. Continue reading “THE MORRELL HOUSE”

MY TRAVEL BUCKET LIST

travel-world-map

Okay, so I have to admit, this post is mainly for me. It is always fun to look back and see where you have gone and where you want to go. And with everyone already talking about their summer plans, I figured why not share a little inspiration. So today I am going to be giving you a look into some of my past trips and talk about what travel destinations are on my bucket list. If you haven’t already planned your summer excursions, like myself, maybe this can give you that motivation you need. If anything, this may just add a few extra items to your own travel bucket list.  Continue reading “MY TRAVEL BUCKET LIST”

HAYDEN’S BIRTHDAY/EASTER CELEBRATION!

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

I can’t believe my oldest baby is SIX! She is growing up right before me and I’ll I want to do is make time stand still. But before I start crying, let us move on. Okay, so this year Hayden’s birthday fell on a Monday, the first day back to school after Spring Break. Not the best way to spend your birthday, but I guess when you’re in Kindergarten it doesn’t really matter. But still, I didn’t want her to spend the majority of her birthday at school. So when deciding what to do, as far as party plans, I figured why not just have a Birthday/Easter Celebration? That way we could have a full day of celebration and not worry about work or school. OUR 2014 TRIP TO THE GRAND CANYON

grand-canyon-viewsSo I was sitting here trying to figure out my newest post and decided that I needed some inspiration. Of course, I browsed Instagram, checked Pinterest, and even caught up with my favorite blogs. But for some reason, nothing was coming to me. Casually, I started going through my own photos. Memories started to flood in just from seeing past birthdays, family trips, and little life events and suddenly I was really excited. I guess I had found my inspiration! But it was one past trip in particular that made me stop and feel like I just had to share. So I’m dedicating this post to the travel bug I just got reminiscing about our trip to the Grand Canyon.
