So last time on my “Mommy Must Haves” series I shared my top swimsuits for this upcoming summer (if you missed it you can find it here). Well, this time I am going to continue our summer accessories discussion by covering beach essentials. If you live in Southern California then you know that summer and beach days go together like lemons and lemonade. You really can’t have one without the other. But I understand that as a mother with two little ones, having a beach day isn’t as easy as throwing on your bikini and grabbing your towel. Nowadays this fun little activity involves some planning and even packing. So with summer quickly approaching, I figured why not share my top beach essentials and make your planning that much less of a headache. So whether your plans involve hitting the beach or just taking a trip to the nearest lake or river, these are some products you are not going to want to leave home without.
Let’s get started! Continue reading “MOMMY MUST HAVES: BEACH ESSENTIALS”
Mother’s Day is quickly approaching and I’m sure most of you are still wondering what to get the most important woman in your life. Sure, fresh flowers are always wonderful but they soon fade and cards end up getting tucked away and forgotten. So what do you get mothers on mother’s day? The answer is fairly simple, give them your time. I am sure most moms would agree that time spent with their loved ones and the memories they make is all they truly want. And what better way to commemorate that precious time than with a unique watch. Continue reading “SPENDING TIME & MAKING MEMORIES ON MOTHER’S DAY”
We currently are experiencing some absolutely gorgeous weather over here in LA and I am loving every minute of it! Of course, with all this warm weather I can’t help but want to be outside. So the other day Holland and I decided to step out and enjoy all the sunshine by taking a little trip to see the Morrell House in Redondo Beach. Continue reading “THE MORRELL HOUSE”
Okay, so I may be jumping the gun, since it’s still April, but I want to talk about swimsuits. Before I had the little ones I LOVED buying bikinis. For me, finding the perfect bikini was like finding the perfect outfit. Anything from bandeaus, triangle tops, to Brazilian bottoms I wanted them all. And usually the tinier the bikini the better. Fast forward to today and my criteria for bikinis has totally changed. Continue reading “MOMMY MUST HAVES: SWIMSUIT EDITION”
So I was sitting here trying to figure out my newest post and decided that I needed some inspiration. Of course, I browsed Instagram, checked Pinterest, and even caught up with my favorite blogs. But for some reason, nothing was coming to me. Casually, I started going through my own photos. Memories started to flood in just from seeing past birthdays, family trips, and little life events and suddenly I was really excited. I guess I had found my inspiration! But it was one past trip in particular that made me stop and feel like I just had to share. So I’m dedicating this post to the travel bug I just got reminiscing about our trip to the Grand Canyon. Now that I have two little ones running around, the house has been more chaotic than ever. With their boundless energy, I’ve had to figure out ways to keep both of them occupied. But with Holland just walking and Hayden already being a “big girl,” finding a medium that is fun and entertaining for them both can be a little difficult. Luckily, we live close to some really cool parks that have helped keep me sane and these little girls busy. Continue reading “OUR TOP 5 FAVORITE PARKS”
A few weeks before all the storms decided to take over California, we were experiencing the best weather here in LA. The temperature was moderate (not too hot or cold), the sky was super clear, and the sunsets were the best I had ever seen. Not wanting to waste such a beautiful day, I decided one Sunday to do some local sightseeing. So I called up my sister, packed up baby, and headed straight for the coast. We found a particularly nice spot on the cliffs of Palos Verdes that had stunning views of Catalina Island and the Southbay. As we meandered along the coast, just talking and catching up, we stumbled upon a little neighborhood church hugging the cliff’s edge. I was immediately drawn to the church’s architecture, so we decided to explore the grounds. Continue reading “YOU, ME, AND THE SEA”
