MY TRAVEL BUCKET LIST

travel-world-map

Okay, so I have to admit, this post is mainly for me. It is always fun to look back and see where you have gone and where you want to go. And with everyone already talking about their summer plans, I figured why not share a little inspiration. So today I am going to be giving you a look into some of my past trips and talk about what travel destinations are on my bucket list. If you haven’t already planned your summer excursions, like myself, maybe this can give you that motivation you need. If anything, this may just add a few extra items to your own travel bucket list.  Continue reading “MY TRAVEL BUCKET LIST”

OUR 2014 TRIP TO THE GRAND CANYON

grand-canyon-viewsSo I was sitting here trying to figure out my newest post and decided that I needed some inspiration. Of course, I browsed Instagram, checked Pinterest, and even caught up with my favorite blogs. But for some reason, nothing was coming to me. Casually, I started going through my own photos. Memories started to flood in just from seeing past birthdays, family trips, and little life events and suddenly I was really excited. I guess I had found my inspiration! But it was one past trip in particular that made me stop and feel like I just had to share. So I’m dedicating this post to the travel bug I just got reminiscing about our trip to the Grand Canyon. 7 LITTLE-KNOWN FACTS ABOUT THE GETTY VILLA

getty-villa-fountain.jpg

Many people are aware of the Getty Museum, but not too many people know that there are in fact TWO. While the Getty Center (the beautiful, gigantic white structure just off the 405) is one of the most popular museums in L.A., the Getty Villa, in Malibu, is the original “Getty Museum.” Located just off P.C.H., the Villa houses the Getty’s collection of ancient Greek, Roman, and Etruscan art. A multi-level and immersive experience, the Getty Villa is unlike any other museum found in Los Angeles.  Continue reading “7 LITTLE-KNOWN FACTS ABOUT THE GETTY VILLA”

Now that the kiddies are officially on Winter break here in LA, I’ve had to plan a few extra special outing just to keep my little ones from going stir crazy. Although the weather has been pretty cold here, to LA standards, the days have been relatively clear and sunny. So I have been trying to incorporate as much of the outdoors as possible.  While going to our favorite park is always fun, sometimes we need a little change of atmosphere. Luckily for us, there is a gem of a botanical garden located not too far from our house that we love to visit.

MY DAY IN…OREGON

oregon-1

Since we are currently experiencing a heat wave here in LA, I’ve wanted nothing more than some cooler weather. So I thought I’d do something a little different and share a bit from my trip to Oregon. My pictures by no means do this gorgeous state any justice but just looking at them keeps my mind off the heat. So if you’re in LA hopefully this will give you momentary relief from the hot weather. Enjoy! Continue reading “MY DAY IN…OREGON”

ROCKETSHIP PARK

Processed with VSCOcam with c1 presetIs it just me, or do any other mothers out there dread hearing: “Mom what are we doing today??” Without fail that is the question I get asked every weekend from my oldest daughter Hayden. I’ll be honest, most of the time my answer is “I don’t know” or even better “It’s too early leave me alone.”
