MOMMY MUST HAVES: SWIMSUIT EDITION

MOMMY MUST HAVES-Okay, so I may be jumping the gun, since it’s still April, but I want to talk about swimsuits. Before I had the little ones I LOVED buying bikinis. For me, finding the perfect bikini was like finding the perfect outfit. Anything from bandeaus, triangle tops, to Brazilian bottoms I wanted them all. And usually the tinier the bikini the better. Fast forward to today and my criteria for bikinis has totally changed.  Continue reading “MOMMY MUST HAVES: SWIMSUIT EDITION”

HAYDEN’S BIRTHDAY/EASTER CELEBRATION!

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

I can’t believe my oldest baby is SIX! She is growing up right before me and I’ll I want to do is make time stand still. But before I start crying, let us move on. Okay, so this year Hayden’s birthday fell on a Monday, the first day back to school after Spring Break. Not the best way to spend your birthday, but I guess when you’re in Kindergarten it doesn’t really matter. But still, I didn’t want her to spend the majority of her birthday at school. So when deciding what to do, as far as party plans, I figured why not just have a Birthday/Easter Celebration? That way we could have a full day of celebration and not worry about work or school. OUR 2014 TRIP TO THE GRAND CANYON

grand-canyon-viewsSo I was sitting here trying to figure out my newest post and decided that I needed some inspiration. Of course, I browsed Instagram, checked Pinterest, and even caught up with my favorite blogs. But for some reason, nothing was coming to me. Casually, I started going through my own photos. Memories started to flood in just from seeing past birthdays, family trips, and little life events and suddenly I was really excited. I guess I had found my inspiration! But it was one past trip in particular that made me stop and feel like I just had to share. So I’m dedicating this post to the travel bug I just got reminiscing about our trip to the Grand Canyon. SMALL STEPS TOWARD A HEALTHIER DIET

food-habits

Growing up I had the absolutely worst diet. If it wasn’t Top Ramen, chicken, or cheese odds are I wouldn’t eat it. I practically hated everything, especially vegetables. But for some reason soon after I had Hayden, my first born, my palette changed. I started to enjoy and even crave some of the food I disliked growing up. Fast-forward to today and my eating habits have done a complete 360.  Continue reading “SMALL STEPS TOWARD A HEALTHIER DIET”

7 LITTLE-KNOWN FACTS ABOUT THE GETTY VILLA

getty-villa-fountain.jpg

Many people are aware of the Getty Museum, but not too many people know that there are in fact TWO. While the Getty Center (the beautiful, gigantic white structure just off the 405) is one of the most popular museums in L.A., the Getty Villa, in Malibu, is the original “Getty Museum.” Located just off P.C.H., the Villa houses the Getty’s collection of ancient Greek, Roman, and Etruscan art. A multi-level and immersive experience, the Getty Villa is unlike any other museum found in Los Angeles.  Continue reading “7 LITTLE-KNOWN FACTS ABOUT THE GETTY VILLA”

DOWNTOWN L.A.

Downtown-LA-

About time, right?! I know, I have been seriously lagging…again. But in my defense, I am just getting over a slight cold and recently just started a new job! So I’ve been a bit preoccupied and haven’t even thought about writing. But this post is long over-due. With the baby currently napping, I figure why not take advantage of the quiet time.   Continue reading “DOWNTOWN L.A.”

BIRTHDAY BRUNCHING AT WINSOME

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

It’s that time of year again, you know that day you dread as you get older. Yes, I’m talking about B-DAY. What is it that once you pass the age of 25 you don’t really want to discuss getting older anymore? I know what you’re thinking,  I’m only in my late 20’s why am I freaking out? And you’re right. But I have this weird thing with time. Just the thought of getting “old” gives me anxiety. Anyway, as my birthday approached this year I wasn’t filled with dread like I usually am. Instead, I feel more confident and comfortable in all aspects of my life. So, if that is something that comes more with age, then I guess turning older isn’t too bad. Okay, enough rambling, let’s talk about the fun stuff. Continue reading “BIRTHDAY BRUNCHING AT WINSOME”
