MY FAVORITE FALL TIME ACTIVITIES IN LA

Fall-activities-LA

School is finally back in session and fall is just around the corner! Although I will miss summer dearly, fall in Los Angeles is seriously the best time of year. I know we don’t get to experience the whole “changing of the seasons” bit, but during this time of year, we have the best weather ever. If you live here then you already know, but if you plan on visiting anytime soon I’d suggest coming during the months of September-November. Not only is the weather nearly always in the upper 70s but the crowds of summer have all gone. Plus, there a ton of fun fall activities. So today I am going to be sharing a few of my favorite things to do in LA during the fall.  Continue reading “MY FAVORITE FALL TIME ACTIVITIES IN LA”

EXPLORING SPACE TRAVEL AND THE SPACE SHUTTLE ENDEAVOR AT THE CALIFORNIA SCIENCE CENTER

Space-science-travel.jpg

Currently sitting here downing a cup of coffee just trying to stay awake because this morning we were up bright and early. When I say “bright and early” I am talking like 6:30 am, which for this momma, may as well have been 4 am. I am not an early riser so for me to get up at that time it has to be for something special. Which was exactly the case because today we went to check out the Space Shuttle Endeavour at the California Science Center! SMORGASBURG LA

Smorgasburg-LA-event

In just a few hours I am going to be in Palm Desert, sipping, lounging, and of course chasing my little ones in and out of the pool. As of today, I am in total VACATION MODE. Never mind work, cleaning, and packing, which I am dreading the most! What is it about packing when you have children that make it exciting, daunting and terrifying all at the same time?? Forget one specific outfit or toy and the vacation is “ruined” according to your six-year-old. I swear she is such a drama queen. Luckily I have a way of combatting such forgetfulness that this momma is so prone too, lists! Yes, before packing I will sit, with a pad of paper and pen in hand, and make a complete list of everything that I need to bring. Shirts, shoes, toothbrush, diapers, wipes, bathing suits, toys…you get the idea. Anyone else write these little vacation packing lists, or is it just me?

REDONDO BEACH HISTORIC LIBRARY

I feel like we are already in the dog-days of summer and our break just started! It’s already July and I don’t even have a decent tan yet! Haha. Anyways, the other day I took the girl to a local park that sits just above the beach. It was such a beautiful day; Sunny, warm, cloudless sky, and just a slight ocean breeze. It couldn’t have been more perfect. Continue reading “REDONDO BEACH HISTORIC LIBRARY”

LOMITA RAILROAD MUSEUM

June has finally arrived and summer is just around the corner! That being said, I have already begun to plan different activities to keep the kids and I entertained during those long summer days. While we’ll be frequenting the beach and park quite often, I have tried to think of other activities that are both educational and fun. So as a sort of “test run” of said activities, I recently took the girls to visit the Lomita Railroad Museum. While I was super enthusiastic about our impending visit, Hayden (my oldest) didn’t seem to be thrilled with the idea. Lucky for me, her tune changed once we arrived. FAMILY NIGHT AT DODGER STADIUM

Dodger-family

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, then you already know that this past Thursday we attended our first Dodger game of the season. It was also a memorable night because it was Holland’s very first game ever! Kind of a big deal for us since it’s become a little family tradition.  Continue reading “FAMILY NIGHT AT DODGER STADIUM”

MY TRAVEL BUCKET LIST

Okay, so I have to admit, this post is mainly for me. It is always fun to look back and see where you have gone and where you want to go. And with everyone already talking about their summer plans, I figured why not share a little inspiration. So today I am going to be giving you a look into some of my past trips and talk about what travel destinations are on my bucket list. If you haven’t already planned your summer excursions, like myself, maybe this can give you that motivation you need. If anything, this may just add a few extra items to your own travel bucket list.  Continue reading “MY TRAVEL BUCKET LIST”

DOWNTOWN L.A.

Downtown-LA-

About time, right?! I know, I have been seriously lagging…again. But in my defense, I am just getting over a slight cold and recently just started a new job! So I’ve been a bit preoccupied and haven’t even thought about writing. But this post is long over-due. With the baby currently napping, I figure why not take advantage of the quiet time.   Continue reading “DOWNTOWN L.A.”

HOLLAND TURNS ONE!

birthday-oneHello! It’s Saturday and I’m up bright and early thanks to the littles ones. So I figured why not be productive. I hoped to have this post out a little sooner, considering it’s almost been a week since the party, but I had a case of food poisoning. NOT FUN. Anyways, if you read my last post then you know I’ve been busy the past couple of weeks preparing for Holland’s first birthday party. Well, now it’s time to tell you how it all went! Let’s begin… Continue reading “HOLLAND TURNS ONE!”

Now that the kiddies are officially on Winter break here in LA, I’ve had to plan a few extra special outing just to keep my little ones from going stir crazy. Although the weather has been pretty cold here, to LA standards, the days have been relatively clear and sunny. So I have been trying to incorporate as much of the outdoors as possible.  While going to our favorite park is always fun, sometimes we need a little change of atmosphere. Luckily for us, there is a gem of a botanical garden located not too far from our house that we love to visit.
